Green Lantern Movie marketing campaign includes...
dcwomenkickingass:
Two interesting web sites, both registered to Warner Bros., have appeared in the last few weeks and both tie into the Green Lantern movie. The first “Writing on the Wall” is the personal blog of Amanda Waller, played by Angela Bassett. The character’s creator John Ostrander is writing the blog which states:
I am Doctor Amanda Waller. This is my personal blog and I am not ...

There is no easy way to reblog asks, so I am left to improvise. For context, I was taking 6 Word Story requests at my odditycollector tumblr…
jaclynhyde asked:
Amanda Waller
;p
Or this one:
Amanda Waller writes her own story.
Happy (belated) birthday, John Ostrander
dcwomenkickingass:
Yesterday was John Ostrander’s 62nd birthday and there is no way I can let it go by without noting it.
John Ostrander is responsible for a lot of great comics I love - Suicide Squad is at the top of the list - but more importantantly he is responsible for two of the most kick ass women in the DCU, Oracle and Amanda Waller.
He didn’t create Barbara Gordon, of course. That...

#3. Amanda Waller
You don’t ever &#*% with The Wall.
Though I’ve seen her listed as a villain more often than not, tell me there haven’t been instances when you’ve been on her side? Morally ambiguous, and about as popular with the superhero community as Ahmadinejad at a Holocaust memorial,…

I’ve finally started a personal tumblr, as odditycollector. As much as I enjoy FuckYeahAmandaWaller - and it’s not going anywhere - it feels inappropriate to use it to take part in conversations unrelated to the character. And there are such interesting conversations going on around here!
I’m also odditycollector on DreamWidth and LiveJournal, but the more I’ve been hanging around here, the...

She’s not a villain per se, but Amanda Waller makes a fantastic adversary.
– -geekinthecity’s twitter
This is one reason (of many) why Amanda Waller should appear in comics regularly. It’s too easy to blur that line otherwise.

The most memorable moments in DC history for...
dcwomenkickingass:
This moment features one of my favorite DCU females. She is fearless and places fears in the heart of those who stupidly choose to cross her. My guest poster for this moment is the awesome Evie Nagy. Evie is a journalist with Billboard and a co-host of the comics podcast “Awesomed by Comics.” If you aren’t listening to ABC you are missing one of the best comics podcasts there...

Can't stop The Wall
athenaltena:
I picked up the TPB for Secret Six: Danse Macabre the other day, and my favorite line out of it is from Amanda Waller:
Just a moment, Faraday. I’ve got some air superiority issues. Turns out this house has a gargoyle for some reason.
I just love that line and the fact that she’s not even scared, just mildly annoyed.
Amanda Waller is most definitely the HBIC.
